You probably know that feeling when you are very psyched about doing something, you build up your motivation, you feel that energy flowing and then… That little voice comes to ruin your day. ‘Are you sure that you’re good enough?’ or maybe it’s a more subtle voice that says ‘I better not do this because others are better at it.’
The ‘not good enough’ always shows up, no matter how hard we try to deny it and push it away. ‘Not good enough’ always finds a way back in. And then the critics arrive to tell you that your dreams are too big or too risky. At which point that little negative thought gets confirmed by the outside world. Even if you only have that 1% self-doubt, all of a sudden the critics sound plausible.
You find yourself stuck in an endless cycle of not feeling good enough. It pains you because you want more out of life. You want to chase your dreams, become successful, feel loved, do amazing things…
If this is you, STOP right there and ask yourself: Is this really how you want to feel the rest of your life? Do you want to postpone your happiness until there are no days left to feel happy?
Of course not! So today we will hunt down that ‘not good enough’. We will find its roots and pull it out of our system. It is enough, right here, right now. From today on, you and ‘not good enough’ will part ways so you can walk into a better and brighter future.
How? It’s very simple. Focus on your body and feel where your ‘not good enough’ is residing. Feel why it’s there. Maybe you think that you don’t deserve to be happy, successful or loved. Maybe you are afraid others will judge you if you stand out. Maybe you suffer from perfectionism and gave up altogether because you can never do it perfectly.
Feel how long that ‘not good enough’ has been living in you to crush your dreams. You’ve probably learned it at school, because how could you ever be good enough if it’s impossible to be the best in every subject? Your writing was too askew or your maths too slow. The world around you prepared you for a life full of failure and self-criticism. But not anymore! Just pull that ‘not good enough’ out of your body. Write it on a piece of paper and burn it once and for all. Feeling ‘not good enough’ NO longer has a place in your life.
You are good enough.
You are loved.
Chase your dreams.
